Re Branch Meeting.

 Notice is hereby given that a Branch Meeting is to be held on Sunday 18th March, 2018 to elect office bearers for the Sri Petaling Branch of the Malaysian Ceylonese Congress. Details for the meeting are as follows:

Date: 18th March 2018  Day: Sunday   Time: 10.30am 

Venue: Malaysian Ceylonese National Community Centre,

No 15, Jalan 18/16, Taman Kanagapuram, Petaling jaya, Selangor. 

Programme: 10am-10.30am: Arrival and Registration 
                                                 of members and guests.

                        10.30 am: Welcome  speech by K Thiruselvam 
                                         : Speech by the National President / Representative

Agenda:  To receive and adopt Minutes of the 3rd Biennial general meeting held on 13th June 2010.

                  To receive and adopt the audited accounts of years ended 31.12.2008 and  31.12.2009.

                  To elect Office Bearers for the term of March 2018 to February 2020. 

                      1. A Chairman

                      2. A Vice Chairman

                      3. A Hon Secretary

                      4. An Asst Hon Secretary

                      5. A Treasurer

                      6. At least six but not more than Ten Council members.

                      7. A Chair or Vice Chair or Hon Sec of Women’s Section.

                      8. A Chair or Vice Chair or Hon Sec of Youth Section.

                      9. Two Internal Auditors.

All members of the Branch are eligible to attend.  Thank You.

TAMIL home tuition classes being organised nationwide. 


Parents bring their children to the teachers home within the vicinity or have the teacher come to the house. Parent and teacher discuss rates and class frequency schedule. Teachers keep their income. 

MCC Sri Petaling is helping to make possible and available to the society, the experiences of the retired Tamil School teachers as well as graduates of Tamil language and literature studies. Retired senior citizens, stay home mothers and others who can teach to read, write and speak Tamil are welcome to register. 


We can stretch the numbers into as many tamans and towns in every state of Malaysia. We will provide the FREE PUBLICITY for parents to reach teachers.

ABOUT CEYLON ASSOCIATION 

The Ceylon Tamil and the Sinhalese in Taiping formed Victoria Reading Room in 1899. They first used a temporary building situated at Main Road, Taiping. later changed the name to CEYLON ASSOCIATION, Taiping. The main objective of this Ceylon Association was to established "Little Jaffna", a centre for social, intellectual, religious and sports activities.

A well known resident of Perak and Penang, Mr A. Cathiv Valoo, had volunteered to erect a new building for the Club in 1901. The building cost $6,000.00 at that time.
